The new secondary products that will become available as a result of the diversification of the primary petrochemical product mix is expected to stimulate the development of new downstream industries, in particular, manufacturing of Performance Polymers and Advance Materials. The key drivers behind these developments are the economic diversification which will be serving end use markets such as automotive, construction, appliances and electronics.

In line with this growth, PetroBaas has developed plans to manufacture monomers and polymers in the C3 & C4 petrochemicals value chains which fall within the following products categories:

• Engineering thermoplastics.
• Low molecular weight specialty polymers and intermediates.
• Acrylics based polymers.

Negotiations are underway with foreign partners to manufacture products that fall within the outlined product segments. PetroBaas is open to explore opportunities with strategic partners bringing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and market access.
